Homeowners complaining of odors from JP Landfill in Waggaman, Louisiana

By May 19, 2014September 6th, 2019No Comments

ABC26 is reporting that residents are complaining that the odors wafting into the neighbors are so bad that they would like the landfill to stop accepting waste until they can get the odors under control. George Peterson, a homeowner and member of a citizens’ group called S1 Civic Group, has been vocal in getting Parish officials to act on the complaints. The landfill was previously fined $10,500 for failing to provide daily cover.
