WCAX.com is reporting that the Moretown landfill in Moretown, VT will close soon. The operators of the landfill have reportedly entered into a deal with state officials to close by July 15. They will be required to address odor problems and groundwater contamination at the landfill site. Once that remediation work has taken place, it is possible that the company may apply to re-open the landfill.
