The Trib Live News reports the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) informed the owner of the landfill, MAX Environmental Technologies, there are problems with the application to expand the landfill. Problems noted include how they plan to cover treated waste – a major component in preventing odors. A prior blog by The Simon Law Firm, P.C. featured how the landfill was previously cited for odor violations that affect nearby residences.
