In the summer of 2018, while on a work retreat in St. Louis, a young Colorado woman was sexually assaulted by her superior in her hotel room. Nearly five years later, she returned to St. Louis with Colorado Employee Advocates attorneys Justin Plaskov and Denison Goodrich-Schlenker, and Amy Collignon Gunn of The Simon Law Firm, to face her attacker in a civil trial in federal court.
After a four-day trial, a St. Louis jury unanimously awarded plaintiff $500,000 for battery-sexual assault and $200,000 to her husband for loss of consortium.
