EULESS, Texas — A 3-year-old Palestinian-American girl is the latest victim in a disturbing trend involving attacks on Palestinian Americans – one of whom is represented by St. Louis-based Simon Law Firm.
The most recent attack happened Monday at an apartment complex pool in Texas, where a woman nearly drowned the child after asking her mother and 6-year-old brother where they were from.
The Simon Law Firm is representing Hanan Shaheen, the mother of 6-year-old Wadee Alfayoumi, who was stabbed to death by his racist neighbor at the home where they lived in Will County, Illinois in October.
“Our client was also stabbed during the attack and is continuing to heal from her physical wounds as well as move forward from the mental anguish of losing a child that will stay with her for the rest of her life,” said attorney Johnny M. Simon. “We are shocked and saddened to hear another Palestinian American family has been the target of a racist attack.
“We stand in solidarity with them, and any victims of racist attacks in this country.”
