Sydney Marino

Biography

Sydney Marino’s exposure to a career in the legal system began early in her childhood. Sydney’s father worked as a Sheriff interacting daily with numerous judges and attorneys, before later working as a Senior Criminal Investigator for the Circuit Attorney’s Office of the City of St. Louis. Through her father, she learned from an early age how the court system operates and most importantly, she learned to focus on the person, as every decision carries the profound potential to shape lives.

She credits her mother with inspiring her to pursue a demanding career path as she has served as the president and a C-suite executive of multiple large companies throughout her career and continues to serve as the true embodiment of hard work and determination to Sydney.

Sydney earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she served as a Lead Editor of the Saint Louis University Law Journal and President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Association.

Sydney began her legal career at Simon Law as a clerk while in law school. The experience gave her a front-row seat to the job of a trial attorney as she worked with the firm’s Intellectual Property and Business Litigation Division.

Before pursuing her legal career, Sydney graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in journalism, focusing on strategic communication, and a minor in political science.

Now, as a full-time attorney at Simon Law, Sydney’s practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury and product liability cases. She takes her role as an advocate for her clients personally. Previous clients describe Sydney as responsive and always available to listen. To Sydney communication is key, as she understands cases often involve a deeply personal experience for many clients.

She also has a competitive nature and prioritizes a team mentality after having grown up playing club soccer in the St. Louis area for nearly ten years. She knows what it takes to be a leader, work strategically with a team, and how being the most prepared person in the room gives her an edge in the courtroom.
