ST. LOUIS — For 22-year-old Cameron Cady, it was standing in the middle of a whirlpool during a KEEN Swim session, holding his favorite toy truck that helped him open up to the volunteer coach who was paired with him.
He methodically described the truck and everything he knows about it with the coach, who was there to provide companionship and keep him and others with disabilities like him safe during weekly sessions centered on exercise.
