When Kelley Madison’s autistic son, Brennon, lost access to his Social Security disability benefits after turning 18, she was overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. After two denied appeals and an approaching court date, Madison knew she needed a lawyer but was unsure how she would afford one. That’s when she was connected with Land of Lincoln Legal Aid. With their support and guidance, she was able to present her case successfully in front of a judge, and Brennon’s benefits were reinstated that same day.
